The Ratchet handbrake lever is used to manually apply the trailer brakes when the the vehicle is stationairy. The ratchet handbrake lever affixes to the trailer draw bar using the rear 2 bolt holes on a 4 bolt coupling or can be mounted separately to trailer chassis.
